Corner on the Square
Corner on the Square began in 2003 when Gary Williamson, who had operated the fruit shop in Beauly took over the corner unit at 1 High Street, Beauly. This shop had been used as a doctor’s surgery for the previous ten years however Gary wanted to return it to a quality grocery/ deli store similar to the Colin Urquhart store that had operated previously at this address.
In renovating the shop it became clear that the store lent itself to a cafe and a kitchen was built in what was one of the surgeries. Inner walls were removed opening out the store to give unrivalled views of the historic square.
Gary’s wife Jacqui immediately took an interest in the Deli and bringing her culinary and customer service skills soon made Corner on the Square a popular destination for those craving a warm welcome and good, simple cooking.
The fruit shop remains and along with the Deli’s cheese counter, eclectic range of fine foods and extensive wine selection offer the discerning food shopper a valuable range to help create that special meal – or treat!
We specialise in food hampers and food gifts and have plenty ideas and options if you are looking to arrange a personal or corporate gift. We also hold food and wine tasting events throughout the year.
